Product page reworked, customer reviews and simpler sign-up
v3.16.0The product page now lives inside your shop: banner, search and footer, a gallery that zooms on click and browses by swipe or keyboard, a share button, and an “Other items from this shop” row so visitors no longer hit a dead end. It also shows reviews from customers who actually ordered the item. At sign-up, your phone number and country are asked only once: they follow through to creating your shop. Digital files can be offered as free downloads, and stock tracking disappears for a service or a file, where it made no sense. On the numbers side: per-product page views (Pro and Business) and a visits-per-day chart below the orders chart. The Testimonials page is rebuilt around proof, and the public catalogue is now called “Le Marcket”. On phones, directory filters no longer cut off their labels and shops appear on the first screen. We now write to you from inside the app: our messages become records you can revisit, flagged by a counter. Finally, the blog gains an illustration, a featured article, and an honest read counter — it used to count every visit twice.
Sharing guarded, admin console reworked
v3.15.0While your shop is offline, the link, WhatsApp sharing, the status image and the QR code are disabled: your customers no longer land on a not-found page, and a message offers to put your shop online. Your WaMarcket testimonial moves to the top of the “About and social” settings, with a clear sentence about what you agree to by publishing it. On the admin side: system errors can be handled again from their record, WhatsApp stats follow the selected period, the audit log filters from the address bar and exports to CSV, and account and shop records finally read properly on a phone.
Rewards and stock better tracked
v3.14.0The dashboard now presents your rewards and your progress more clearly, with a display better suited to phones. Orders that expire automatically release their reserved stock, so available products are not locked up for nothing. The admin settings for rewards and stock are also easier to steer.
A clearer shop on mobile
v3.13.0Mobile navigation now uses your shop's colour for the active tab, without a rounded background. Categories appear as rounded chips with a light shadow, and mobile search is more compact. The shop rating also shows the number of votes. Favourites hide the badge when it is empty, while parcel tracking stays attached to the shop concerned. Finally, the shop's identifier appears right after its name when creating it.
Your orders compared with the previous period
v3.12.0The orders chart overlays the previous period as a dotted line: you can see at a glance whether this week beats the last one, with no maths. The low-stock alert closes in one gesture and only comes back if a new product is affected. On phones, stat cards show two per line everywhere, with the headline figure full width. Creation forms — delivery zone, driver, promo code, bundle — are collapsed by default.
A site that showed up unstyled now repairs itself
v3.11.1After an update, the site could open completely bare: no colour, no layout, raw links. The page came from the phone's memory and asked for files the new version had replaced. Clearing the cache by hand was the only way out. This case is now detected and the page reloads itself on the up-to-date version.
The logo's green becomes the site's green
v3.11.0The main colour now takes the logo's green exactly, and the text placed on it was darkened to stay readable on a phone in full sunlight. The verification rosette is the same everywhere: your shop, the directory, the dashboard. Two dedicated home pages appear, one for selling, one for buying. Finally, a sign-in that looped when the server did not answer is fixed.
A shop readable and usable by everyone
v3.10.0A large accessibility effort: contrast raised on quiet text, close buttons enlarged to be reachable with a thumb, fields and images finally announced to screen readers, animations switched off for those who decline them. Your shop and the directory move the shop name out of the banner, and product cards flag discounts. The free plan caps sales at 50,000 XOF a month; the watermark disappears from paid plans.
Your own address, and an assistant that shows products
v3.9.0Paid plans get their subdomain: your shop lives at its own address and the WaMarcket bar disappears from it. The shopper assistant no longer answers in text only — it shows product cards below its answer. In the directory, a city carousel and a single filter bar replace scattered controls. Your shop's category becomes editable from Settings, in a list you search by typing. Missing Yoruba translations have been completed.
A catalogue shared by every shop
v3.8.0The Products page gathers items from every shop in one place: a customer looking for a wax print finds yours without knowing your name. She filters by category, sorts by price, and the list narrows as she types, with nothing to submit. Your items appear there automatically, with nothing to switch on. Highlighted labels across the interface were also darkened to stay readable on a phone screen in full sunlight.
Your shop in the WaMarcket directory
v3.7.0Published shops now appear in a public directory, on the home page and on the Shops page. Each card shows your banner, your logo, your city and a preview of four products — enough to make someone want to step in before the first click. A visitor can filter by trade category and by city. These pages are indexed by search engines, which brings you visits without sharing a link.
Shared product links finally show the photo
v3.6.3A product link sent on WhatsApp arrived without a thumbnail: the title and price showed, but not the image. The photo is now converted to the format messaging apps recognise, and the shared link shows the product. The monthly revenue cap now warns the seller instead of refusing her customer's order.
Clearer end of subscription
v3.6.2When a paid plan expires, the custom domain and team seats are switched off instead of staying active indefinitely. The shop and the catalogue stay online: only the plan's options stop, and everything comes back when the subscription is renewed.
More reliable product variants
v3.6.1A colour or size with no photo attached can no longer be selected in the shop, so a customer never orders something she has not seen. Each variant value can now carry several photos (several angles), and the add-to-cart button stays visible on the product page whatever the number of options.
Wholesale prices, bundles and back-in-stock alerts
v3.6.0Three additions to switch on in Settings → Features: a wholesale price applied automatically above a quantity threshold, bundles at a reduced price with a preview of their contents and the saving, and a back-in-stock alert your customers can request on a sold-out product — you then notify them with one click on WhatsApp.
AI answers in your language and knows your city
v3.5.0AI generations (descriptions, taglines, posts) detect the language of the text you typed: a draft in French gives a result in French, even if the interface is in English. The shop's city is now editable in Settings → General, and anchors generated texts locally.
Clearer sign-up
v3.4.1Signing up with a phone number already linked to an account now shows a plain message instead of a technical error. The link to our official Facebook page is available in the footer.
Help centre fully rewritten
v3.4.0The Help page now offers 34 complete articles organised into 11 categories: getting started, products, orders, payments, delivery, AI, team, billing… Pricing questions point to the Pricing page, which is always up to date.
Plans rethought: AI quotas, revenue cap and steerable pricing
v3.3.0The Pricing page reflects in real time the quotas and features configured in administration. Each plan includes a monthly quota of AI generations, API and webhook access moves to the Business plan, and a soft monthly revenue cap applies per shop: never a block mid-month, an alert at 80% on the dashboard and by email, and moving up a plan lifts the limit immediately.
Seller testimonials and richer Status images
v3.2.0The reviews shown on the home page now come from real sellers, approved in administration, with a dedicated Testimonials page. The WhatsApp Status image gains collages of up to 4 rounded photos with a “+N” badge, the price in the shop's colour and the tagline under the name.
Full legal notice, terms and privacy policy
v3.1.0The Legal notice (new), Terms of use and Privacy policy pages are now detailed and cover the nature of the service, the pricing plans, seller and customer obligations, subprocessors (hosting, email) and your rights over your data.
WhatsApp Status image for your products
v3.0.0Generate in one click a vertical image ready for your WhatsApp Status: up to 4 product photos in a collage, the price in your shop's colour, your tagline, and an order button — to download or share straight away.
Referral programme
v2.9.0Every account gets a personal referral code. Reward the people you refer from their first order and follow your accumulated earnings from a new dashboard tab.
Stronger sign-in
v2.8.1Authentication now uses secure cookies rather than local storage, for better protection against session theft.
Automation library made reliable
v2.8.0Fixed several errors that prevented installing, editing or deleting some automations. The “Edit” button now really changes the configuration of an installed automation.
Markdown product pages and express categories
v2.7.0Format your product descriptions (bold, lists, links) with an instant preview, create a category without leaving the add form, and share a shop QR code in WaMarcket's colours.
Complete guided tour, on mobile too
v2.6.2The dashboard's guided tour now covers every menu, including switching language and signing out, and positions itself correctly on a phone.
Invoice preview faithful to the PDF
v2.6.1The preview shows exactly the PDF that will be downloaded, in a large format. Cancelled invoices remain viewable but no longer offer pointless actions.
Payment tracking and invoices
v2.6.0Mark an invoice as paid once the order is settled, send it by email or WhatsApp, and your customers can now download it straight from the order tracking page.
Getting-started checklist
v2.5.0Guide new sellers with an interactive checklist showing the key steps: add a product, set up a payment method, share the link, receive an order.
Replies to contact messages
v2.4.0Reply to customers directly from your inbox, with an email sent automatically. Available for admins and shops.
Bank transfer
v2.3.0Set up your bank details to offer transfer as a payment method. Works with Wave, Orange Money and other local methods.
